The Sari Diaries- Saturday 8/2/14

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Time sure flies when you are having fun! I wish that we could slow it all down, but the spiral of the final week of camp has officially begun. Today was amazing and here are the highlights…

  1. Today was an awesome day for activities- the weather was perfect! Campers were excited to get in the water down at the waterfront and they were eager to pass levels and accomplish their goals all around camp. The energy was high all day and as I walked from activity to activity, I was thrilled to see the smiles plastered on everyone’s faces.

  1. This afternoon, the Senior Tennis Team traveled to Red Pine for our final intercamp of the summer. It was a lot of fun and there are some awesome players at Red Pine. It was good competition for our team, and they were all very happy with how they played. The coaches are so impressed with the obvious improvement of this team over the course of the past seven weeks- their hard work every morning has definitely paid off!

  1. Second session Lip Sync was tonight and it was incredible. From costumes to dance moves, campers at #CRC2014 have some real talent. One performance was better than the next and I love how seriously our campers and staff take this event. Blackfoot got some help from George Fountain and he was in the aisles dancing along with them. Three of our visitors put on wedding dresses and judged the show. The entire night was fabulous and the winners were Silverspurs and A-Frame. Both cabins enjoyed Cathy’s as their prize!

So that was our day in Chippyland- it was fantastic! We are planning to enjoy every single second of the next week, and we will do our best to slow down time.

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
