The Sari Diaries- 7/1/17

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Thanks for checking into The Sari Diaries to learn all about our Saturday at CRC. To quote Soph-Aloaf, “Today was a full day of sun and activities!” That is a definite highlight but below are more details!

Today campers skied, sailed, fished, climbed, rode, baked and more…it was literally packed with activities all day long. Campers enjoyed their regular schedule- it is crazy but today was the last day of activities for the first two weeks. Tomorrow we have sign-ups once again…the summer is flying by!

Tonight Camp Horseshoe came over for an awesome social. Monster Entertainment was there to DJ the event and everyone had a blast. Campers who have friends and family at Horseshoe were excited to see the boys. Others got hyped about the dancing and the opportunity to win t-shirts! Overall, it was an awesome night full of mingling, dancing and eating (I mean what is a Chippewa event without food?!).

I actually spent most of the day in Milwaukee with the CITs. Part of their CIT trip includes a stop at Summerfest. We got to see Zac Brown Band perform which was amazing. There was lots of singing and dancing by the entire CIT crew…they loved the show and so did I! This group definitely deserves this trip- they have been working so hard this summer, and are true assets both in their cabins and at activities. I loved being in the van and hearing them talking about missing their campers…of course, they were having fun, but it is cool that they are thinking about what is happening at camp and how their campers are doing. Tomorrow and Monday they will visit other camps between Milwaukee and Chippewa. They will learn about their programs, and gain a new perspective on the camp industry outside of CRC. We can’t wait to have them back at camp, but know that they will have fun and learn a ton over the next couple of days.

Okay, I think that’s all for now. I promise there will be more details about #TheRanch207 in tomorrow’s edition of TSD :). Thanks for reading and have a lovely night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
