You’ll be part of our core medical team serving 235 girls ages 7-16, plus 100 camp counselors. It’s a fun community!
Summer Camp Nurse Job Description
Our health care philosophy is to promote wellness so we spend less time treating illness.
Our health care team is responsible for many different medical-related tasks including medication distribution, bi-weekly health checks, treating minor injuries (and helping to evaluate if/when additional care may be required), caring for sick campers and communicating with parents regarding health-related concerns.

Chippewa is located in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Where’s that? It’s up in the woods where the trees are green, the lakes are cool, the sun shines long, and the loons call to you as you drift off to sleep.
What Is the Summer Camp Nurse Job Like?
Imagine a cozy little hospital in the woods, with a picturesque lake out the window, joyful laughter in the air, new adventures around every corner, and you’re right in the middle of it all. Sometimes you’re providing motherly care, sometimes you’re attending to an immediate need, and other times you’re up on the climbing wall or out on the lake. Camp is an exciting place and we do our best to play safely, but when something goes wrong you’ll be there.
Summer Dates & Other Important Info
Your summer begins June 3rd and ends August 10. Food & housing are included. Travel expenses are also included.
How Much Do We Pay?!? 😀
Chippewa’s pay scale is higher than most summer camps. Please contact Lisa to find out much you can earn in your position.
