The Sari Diaries- Wednesday 7/26/17

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Although the speed of the summer seems to moving at a lightning fast pace, today felt like it could have been two completely separate days. I am pretty sure it is because we basically had two completely separate days worth of weather. We woke up this morning to rain which lasted almost all the way until lunch. Then, this afternoon, the sun and heat came back…it was kind of crazy! Below is some more information…you know…details beyond the weather…enjoy!

Erin Elliot along with Milly and Olivia Crothers have been preparing a rainy day program for weeks. Lucky for us, we haven’t needed it. That said, when we got to breakfast this morning, they were excited to put their plans into action. After a great cabin clean-up, cabins each got assigned a different word that they had to use in making up a rap song. All words were camp themed- from dance to lake, Chippies were rapping about all things CRC. As each cabin got up on stage, their age groups cheered for them. They were all incredibly cute and quite impressive. The judges voted that Lucky-X had the best rap…they were ecstatic about their big win!

Then this afternoon, we were able to have regularly scheduled activities. Zoe G got up and around the lake on skis for the first time, which is amazing! Our campers taking archery enjoyed shooting on the new range at the South end of camp…it is pretty cool! All around, great things were happening :).

This evening was a fan favorite- Screen on the Green. Campers and staff gathered in the North Field with chairs, blankets and crazy creeks in preparation of a movie night…only tonight, we watched episodes of Lizzie McGuire and iCarly. Everyone enjoyed popcorn and candy as they hung out in the field together. I am not alone in my love for this program. It is such a relaxed night and campers just get to enjoy being with one another.

Tomorrow is sure to be another fantastic day here at #TheRanch2017…we have a lot in store and are really looking forward to it all! As for today, I think that’s it. Thanks for reading- have a good night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
