The Sari Diaries- Wednesday 7/2/14

Wednesday, July 02 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Another day has passed at #CRC2014, and what a wonderful day it was. Here are the highlights…

  1. This morning, the cabin of Timber Walk left for their canoe trip. They started at the “Owl Bridge” and canoed all the way back to camp. They had a fantastic time and really bonded while canoeing on this sunny day!

  1. The cabins of Boots and Cactus went to Bond Falls after lunch and really enjoyed themselves. They did a bit of hiking and took lots of great pictures. The campers were truly excited to be there and all agreed that this trip program is the best they can remember (which I agree with :)).

  1. This afternoon, after discussing with our Riding Director, Cliff and a crew of staff members began creating a new path around camp. They used the tractor, a rake and a number of other tools to form a path that will be used by Chippies and the horses throughout the summer.

  1. After the BBQ, everyone headed to the South Field for Screen on the Green. Cabins gathered together on blankets and even brought their stuffed animals along for the movie as well. There were plenty of concessions to go around and we all enjoyed watching “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.” This evening program is always a nice and relaxing way to end the day. Tonight was an extremely cute scene and the entire camp loves chilling out together.

And that’s a wrap for today. We are looking forward to great weather tomorrow and know that it will be one more fantastic day to be a Chippy. Thanks for reading- have a lovely evening.

Happy Camping,
Sari
