The Sari Diaries- Tuesday 6/30/15

Tuesday, June 30 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

I am so happy to be writing from the Office at the Top of the Hill for the first time in what feels like years (though it has only been two nights). While the trip was absolutely amazing and I am officially obsessed with our CIT group, I am ecstatic to be back at #TheRanch2015! Here are today’s details…

  1. There were lots of sweatpants and sweatshirts worn around camp today because it was a bit chilly. Although we ran most activities, watersports were somewhat limited due to the weather. Chip Chat (the summer newspaper) is preparing for their first publication which will be coming to your Camp in Touch account within the week :). In cooking, they made brownies which were delicious! It was overall a successful day for the CRC activity program.

  1. Taco Tuesday is always a popular meal and tonight was no exception. We had chicken & steak fajitas with homemade tortilla chips, guacamole and salsa. The highlight of the meal though was when the male staff “sacrificed” Sydney Levenfeld and threw her in the lake. This is a tradition that has been kept alive by the Chippy boys for close to twenty years. The campers love it and it is always fun to watch!

  1. This evening, we all hopped on yellow school buses and headed over to Timberlane. They held a carnival which was awesome and the evening ended with a game of Singled Out and a dance party. We can always count on Timberlane to put on a fabulous program and we love going there to socialize!

And that’s the day in review from me. We are looking forward to a full day tomorrow which should bring great weather, super activities and a Tan & White game. Thanks for reading- enjoy your night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
