Dearest Chippies,

Miss me? Yeah probably not… But if it’s any consolation, I did miss you (just ask Sari… I threw a fit when I realized my coveted guest slot was filled last Thursday). But regardless of whether or not my absence was troubling to you, the past is in the past and here we are, together once again.

As is the norm here at #TheRanch2015, today did not disappoint in terms of excitement, sunshine, or good times. Everyone enjoyed a morning full of regular activities and this afternoon we veered from the beaten path for The Gauntlet, a Tan and White game in which the respective teams work together to complete a series of tasks and games. These activities vary year to year and this time included bananagrams and a picture scavenger hunt, among much more. As always, it was an inspiring display of teamwork as campers cheered each other on and used their mental and athletic prowess. It was a close game, but in the end the Tans pulled out the W.

Following The Gauntlet, we headed over to Camp Horseshoe for a social. Chippies danced the night away and chatted up siblings, romantic interests, and friends both old and new. The reunions were cute and everyone had a great time.

Overall, it was a day to remember and I am happy to have the opportunity to share it with all of you. As I start (pretend) to come to terms with the summer coming to a close, one of the things that really highlights its finality is the fact that I only have one more TSD post left. This little fact saddens me more than almost anything else. But I can promise you that much like today, the past 7 weeks, and my last 12 summers here at CRC, my final post will be something you won’t want to miss. Thanks 4 reading and I hope to see you all next Thursday.

Sincerely,
Soph-Aloaf
