Dearest Chippies,

Yet another week of #TheRanch2015 has flown right by and I’m still sitting around, waiting for one of you to enlighten me on the secrets to slowing down time. Please, people. Don’t let me down. This is a serious matter and certainly not the time for modesty. C’mon.

In other news, as I’m sure you have gathered from Sari’s recent posts, the six days since my last entry have been as exciting as they come. Camp has been full of smiles, belly laughs, and other anecdotal signs of happiness that I can’t think of right now. But I mean, this is Chippewa we’re talking about… So does that really even surprise you? Yeah, me neither.

The sun shone down bright on CRC today from start to finish. The lake was swam, skied, sailed, and kayaked. The wall was climbed, the horses were ridden, the stage was danced, and the trampolines were jumped. Enthusiasm was as noticeable as Cliff wearing shorts, and I am certain that every Chippy was happy as a clam from sunrise to sunset.

Tonight’s evening program was Pirate Night, a bi-annual favorite for campers and counselors alike. The game is pretty simple—male staff dress up as pirates and chase cabins around camp, trying to distract them as they search for the buried treasure. The camp fills with shrieks and nervous energy as the quest for the treasure ensues, and much like my pursuit for a time machine, this is not a game that is taken lightly.

Well, that’s all I have for you tonight. Short, sweet, and to the point… From my perspective at least. Anyways, thanks for reading. As always, it has been my pleasure to provide you with today’s Chippy happenings.

Sincerely,
Soph-Aloaf
