The Sari Diaries- Sunday 7/6/14

Sunday, July 06 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

It has been a very productive day, and it is sad to think that this was the final cabin day of first session. The first four weeks have flown by, but I think it is safe to say that we have made the most of each moment of #CRC2014. Here are today’s highlights…

  1. After breakfast this morning, the entire Colt Village visited the Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua. It was amazingly adorable to see the Colt Villagers and their counselors interacting with the animals. Some campers held bunnies, others fed the giraffes and they all enjoyed a nice morning.

  1. Once back at camp, we had UN Day team meetings to practice cheers and finalize sign-ups. The cheering was awesome and everyone is getting excited for the big day tomorrow. Spirits are high among the captains, advisers and team members, and we are really looking forward to a fabulous day of healthy competition.

  1. This evening, we headed over to Camp Horseshoe for a social. They always put on a great event with good music and dancing. Campers were excited to see their friends, brothers and relatives, and we got some excellent pictures!

And that’s a wrap on July 6, 2014. It was a lovely day around here and we are all keeping our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates with us tomorrow for United Nations Day. Thanks for reading and have a great night!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
