The Sari Diaries- Sunday 7/3/16

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

After another fantastic day at #TheRanch2016, I am happy to be writing to you all this evening. Today was Cabin Day and filled with fun. Here are the highlights…

This morning after our Sunday morning brunch, we had our second sign-ups of first session. It is actually insane how quickly this summer is already flying by! While campers were not in the lodge signing up, they were either in the theater practicing Lip Sync or in the South Field doing yoga with Jessica Jaksich. She is one of this weekend’s visitors and was eager to help run this morning’s festivities!

This afternoon we had the first session Lip Sync and it was AMAZING. No joke, I was very impressed. Blackfoot was so cute, Trailriders and Lakeview were fun but Horseshoe and C-C were the big winners of the afternoon! They were well choreographed, well rehearsed and overall impressive! This year, we added a Best Dressed award for the cutest costumes…the winners were Silverspurs! After the show was over, we had a big dance party, which is always a good time to let loose!

One more note on Lip Sync…Lakeview 2010 wanted to judge and be a part of the show! Not only did they show up in costume to be the judges, they also performed their famous lip sync- “I Choose You.” The entire camp cheered for them- it was awesome!

Tonight’s evening program was Tan and White Camper Capture the Flag. I was a referee in the South Field and got to see some great action. JJ S told me that this was her “chance to shine.” She definitely did just that as she pulled flags left and right! There were plenty of intense moments and the final score was three to one in favor of the Tans. For the Tans, Hannah C, Katy B and Hayley C brought the flag across the center line. As for the Whites, Anna S captured their flag! It was a great night full of spirit, sportsmanship and competition!

And that’s about it…until tomorrow’s big day. Lakeview has been working incredibly hard and the entire camp is eagerly awaiting the pots and pans wake-up that will start the amazing day that is the 4th of July at CRC. Until tomorrow…
