Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

Today was an awesome day in Chippyland. This evening’s post is going to be through the eyes of a Lakeview camper. Enjoy!

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari

Dear Diary,

Today was a fantastic day of camp. It was Camper-Counselor Switch Day, which is a fun day when the campers who are thirteen and older get to be counselors for the day. We took over their responsibilities and got to see camp as if we were staff members. I was lucky enough to be a counselor in Blackfoot- the youngest cabin. They were so fun to be with! I absolutely loved spending time with them and am looking forward to being a member of the staff team next summer.

At lunch, Samantha C, who was Cliff for the day, got sacrificed by the male staff and thrown in the lake. The good news is that because of her, the whole camp got to go to Cathy’s for ice cream! She was a very good sport about it, and it was pretty funny to watch.

Tonight was Chippy Awards- a camp awards show that Lakeview puts on. We have been working for the past three weeks to plan the program and it came out really well! Our theme was “Chip or Treat,” and the theater looked amazing. It was so sweet to see how enthusiastic the campers were to accept the awards, and they all seemed to love it! Our hard work definitely paid off.

That was my day and it could not have been any better. Now that the last week of camp is here, and my camper days are coming to a close, I am beginning to feel pretty nostalgic. The past six summers- specifically, these last eight weeks- have been life changing. I am focused on enjoying the next three days and making sure #CRC2014 is remembered as the best summer ever. As Cliff always says, “There is still plenty of camping left,” so I gotta run to do some cabin bonding before bed.

Love Your Happy Camper,

Chippy Girl
