The Sari Diaries- Monday 7/24/17

Sunday, July 23 by Sari Hirsch

Dear Chippies, Parents, Family and Friends,

It was an amazing day at CRC today- one that flew by but was a ton of fun. From breakfast through evening program, we had a blast just being our Chippy selves…here are the details…

Despite it being a Monday, today was actually a cabin day. We had a lazy morning with eggs/pancakes to order followed by an all camp trip to Minocqua. We flooded the streets and stores (politely, of course) and everywhere we turned, there was a new group of Chippies…it was awesome!

Upon returning back to #TheRanch2017, all Tans went to the South Field and all Whites to the North. It was a much anticipated meeting- campers found out the Songfest themes! Although the neutrals, Cliff, Lisa, Soph-Aloaf and I have no clue what they are (it is always a surprise for us), the teams were super-excited to know the themes.

Then, after a pizza dinner, we had second session lip sync. This program never ceases to amaze me. Our campers have such talent and confidence up there on that stage. Some of the talent lies in their Chippy moves which are typically funny and creative. Other talents are shown through their stage presence and choreography. Regardless of their style, each and every cabin was incredible. Horseshoe and Boots were the winning cabins tonight- it was a very impressive showing!

Then after the dance party, Lakeview had their own dance party which they even brought to the Office at the Top of the Hill. They were all still in their wacky costumes as they made their way dancing to the music from the back of the office to the front…it was very cute!

And I think that’s all for now. I am sorry that this is a shorter version but I feel confident that tomorrow’s TSD is going to be incredible. It is Camper Counselor Day, and Molly L is me…she will be writing The Sari Diaries and I can’t wait to read it! Okay, talk to you all soon :).

Happy Camping and Love,
Sari
