Friday, February 27 by Sari Hirsch

The February Alumni Spotlight features Beth Gordon. Beth is an awesome Chippy alum who makes her way back to the Northwoods almost every summer. We love seeing her, talking camp with her and hearing about the everlasting love she has for CRC. A huge thanks to Beth for sharing these answers and photos with us!

What years were you at CRC?
1971-1980

Which summer was your favorite and why?
1980- Patti Katz and I were co-counselors in A-Frame (not sure how/why Tom let this happen)!! Our cabin was the greatest!

What is your favorite camp memory?
It’s hard to verbalize one memory where I wash’t involved in some level of mischief along with my partners in crime…you know who you are!!

What was your favorite activity at camp?
Saddle Club – my favorite start to the day.

Were you a Tan or a White?
GO WHITES!!

How do you keep in touch with your camp friends?
Fortunately, I get back to Chicago often. My job has me on the road a lot so I get to see Chippies in other cities every chance I get. Plus, our yearly reunions in Eagle River are a bonus!

Where do you live now?
I live in Portland, OR.

What do you do?
Vice President of Formula 4 Media. We produce trade shows and trade publications in the run, sports, outdoor and footwear industries.

What do you miss most about camp?
My camp friends, camaraderie, competition, the north woods and the joys of childhood antics!

Is there anything else you want to share with your Chippy family?
Chippewa remains a focal point in my life and I’m grateful for the lasting friendships.
